Being a 5th generation Texan… born in Houston and growin’ up in Magnolia… I never really thought anything of livin in a house fulla animals! I know most people might have a few dogs and maybe a cat or something… but I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals! Most little boys get a puppy as their first pet… Not me… my dad brought home a baby armadillo that I named TEX when I was 4 years old! I had that little guy until I was 7 and he was just like a cat!
I think at least once a day… someone will ask me “Cowboy Dave, do you really live on a farm in Magnolia and have all those animals? Do they really all live inside your house?”
The answer?? YES…
The other question after I answer the first…
“How the heck do you keep your wife around with all that crazy around ALL THE TIME?”
That I can’t answer… lucky I guess haha!
I figured I could round up a few pics of ALL the critters that bless my life everyday! I’ll say this up front… ALL of these critters came to me/us… I’ve never bought an animal besides the cattle! Either they wandered up on the farm or I “rescued” them… meaning that they were injured or homeless and I helped ’em out!
I’m very proud that I can say that they always seem to want to stay:) Anyhow… here are all the critters that I have livin’ with me and the family on the farm in Magnolia:) I know some are the same critters in different pics… but I really like the way they are acting in the pics!
